What is the fastest way to burn 1000 calories, whithout causing damage to muscles?

♥ ♫ ☼ I. A. ☼ ♫ ♥ asked:

On a bicycle, at the fitness club, I usually burn 500 calories in 45 min. And I also do about 1 hour of heavy-lifting on various engines. So time flies too fast, and I feel that I haven’t burnt enough calories .
Is there another exercise which can help to burn calories even faster ?
I mean, without losing muscles ( fat only), and without danger to the heart.

Thank you for some good advice.

Have you tried running or jogging? It’s a great way to burn calories and it’s very easy and convenient to do. If you want to gain muscle strength, then I’d suggest to lift 10-15 pound everyday for about 10 minutes.
    Good luck!

    Dear Fatih,

Play squash : over 1000 calories in an hour. It burns fat and builds good muscles also a great cardio workout.

Also check the chart below for calorie and exercise comparison:

Turn up the resistance on the bike!!

Seriously, your ability to burn calories on a bike, treadmill or anything else is determined by the ability of your cardiovascular system to deliver oxygen. You probably couldn’t burn 1000 calories on bike, treadmill, or anything else in 45 minutes. I might be able to, but I’d be a blowed up wreck at the finish.

As for losing muscle, going hard on a bike for 45 minutes or for several hours is going to build muscle, not destroy it. Obviously you’ve never taken a good look at a cyclist’s legs!!!!

if your burning 1000 calories a day your burning muscle along with it. try adjusting your diet instead of going crazy with the cardio. keep your protein high to preserve muscle. 30 grams every 3 hours should help. cut out carbs after 3 pm this will burn more fat than any bike. also have you consider h.i.t. cardio? it burns burn fat in 15 minutes than 1 hour of running.

Eat 1,000 calories less. Exercise for 45 minutes. You will be losing weight in no time.
